What is monastery Code of Condact?

Typik (Greek: τηκικό) is a set of prescribed rules (collection), which contains the manner and sequence of church services in the monastery, as well as instructions and rules for monastic and ascetic life. Every God-seeking soul who wants to stay in the monastery of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul must adhere to the prescribed monastery typic and rules of conduct. All those who wish to stay in the monastery's accommodation in Ribnica are asked to carefully read all the prescribed rules from the monastery's standard which are found in the latter text.

Monastery Code of Condact

Arrival at the monastery: please make an effort to arrive at the monastery no later than 7 p.m.

Prohibitions in the monastery: in order to preserve spiritual purity, please refrain from smoking, drinking alcohol, using open flames and using perfume in the monastery.

Kitchen: the kitchen is functional with all the elements you can use to prepare your food. If you are unable to provide food, something will be found for you.

Appropriate clothing: sisters, please wear skirts or comfortable wide trousers and a scarf over your head, and brothers, long trousers and long sleeves.

Mandatory attendance at prayers: We invite you to regularly attend all services, liturgies and to follow the prayer rule that you will receive from one of the brothers upon arrival.

Recommended contribution: Taking into account the cost of accommodation (electricity, water, maintenance), the recommended contribution is 1,200 dinars.
