Monastic life
Monasticism is an ancient form of Christian life that implies complete surrender to God and renunciation of worldly pleasures. Monks and nuns live in communities or solitary, devoting themselves to prayer, fasting, work and spiritual growth. The goal of monasticism is to achieve spiritual perfection and closeness with God through a life dedicated to faith, discipline and love for one's neighbors.

How to become a monk?
